Handfasting, Goths, Medieval Banquets, and a wedding! (oh, and a few black pigs too!)

Esme & David, Castle Donnington

On wednesday the 21st of May, I travelled down the country to Castle Donnington to photograph the day's events at Esme and David's wedding.

As you can see from the pictures, this was no ordinary wedding! They had created a unique magical pagan handfasting ceremony to celebrate their union, followed by a medieval banquet and a goth DJ, all in a converted farmyard barn. After the meal, all guests were entertained by the 'Black Pig Border' Morris Dancers. Even Esme and David got involved and knocked wood on wood for a while!

An amazing day was had by everyone and some truely unique pictures were captured.
