September 23rd 2010 - Samantha & Gary - Hazelwood Castle, Tadcaster

What a day! So many different things happening and so many details to capture!

Sam and Gary decided to marry on a Thursday, which is a different day to my usual weddings and having a mid-week wedding can sometimes mean that many of your invited guests cannot make it to your happy day due to work commitments. This definitely wasn't the case with Sam and Gary's friends and family. People had flown in from across the world to be here, including Sam's brother and fiancee who flew from L.A.

The day ran a little different to the usual weddings I attend! At 12 noon, Sam and Gary married in front of just 12 close family within the castle itself. Following a quick outfit change and makeup 'spruce up' (Sam, not Gary!), a further 80+ guests arrived to see Sam and Gary have a blessing within the chapel within the grounds of the castle.

The blessing was probably the most upbeat, fun and relaxed ceremony I've ever had the pleasure to encounter!

Following that, outside for some group photos, which looked like they were going to have to be cut off short due to the threatening clouds and the odd spot of rain! Thankfully the big man upstairs was kind enough to hold the rain off right to the end of the day, which meant the surprise fireworks were a little bit of a... erm... washout!

An excellent day, lovely people and a brilliant Bride and Groom!
