August 14th 2010 - Nicola & Martin - Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa, Leeds

I woke up this morning after a nightmare day the day before (camping in York with my wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs)... the camping trip was nice enough...it was just the huge downpour of rain we had whilst trying to pack the tent away! Safe to say it (and we) got absolutely drenched for the journey home!! ... Why am I telling you this? Because the weather report for today was meant to be very similar; in fact on the internet, it was giving out weather warnings for the amount of rain we should expect!

So, with the wedding ceremony being at 4pm, Nicola and Martin decided that there would be no day guests and evening guests... they all came to the day do. All 140 of them. Now, I don't have an issue with dealing with large groups of people for the formal photos, but when the weatherman says it's going to belt it down, where do you take photos of 140 people all together indoors? Potential issues then arise!

Thankfully I didn't need to worry about this scenario as the weather report was completely wrong and the sun shone brightly all day, in fact I even got tan lines!!

Nicola and Martin were on great form, they had a wonderful time and all guests enjoyed the day wholeheartedly.

Congratulations guys, you were fantastic!

Gav x
