August 22nd 2009 - Lisa & Simon - Monk Fryston Hall, Monk Fryston

Well, what can I say!? I photograph many weddings per year and one thing I don't always get the chance to do is to have 100% freedom to do 100% reportage photography. This is where I literally have no input to how the day goes, I'm literally there to record the day in photographs.

When I met Lisa and Simon for their final consultation, they were both extremely adamant that they DO NOT do 'traditional' in ANY way! Apart from the odd photo suggestion by Lisa (and I do mean odd!!... the toilet photo was her idea by the way!!), I was left to photograph things as they happened without having to organise anyone once! I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive leading up to the wedding, not knowing if a wedding shoot with zero formality to the photos would work, but thanks to Lisa, Simon and all their family and friends, it worked a treat, with literally hundreds of opportunities for candid moment captures!

Congrats go out to Lisa and Simon, what a great couple!
