August 21st 2010 - Lisa & Jason - Oulton Hall, Leeds
What can I say? Cracking weather, cracking couple, cracking guests, cracking venue!
A little bit of history: Jason took over from me as the keyboard player in a band I was in a number of years ago... we were reaquainted recently after I joined the same gym as the one Jason attends. We got talking and after I mentioned that I was a full time wedding photographer, the rest was history.
Lisa got ready at her parent's house across the road from the dam at Newmillerdam. A beautiful house with lovely gardens, the only thing was, there wasn't much time to do many photos in the gardens as Lisa and all her bridesmaids arrived back at the house from the hairdressers much later than anticipated. This wasn't a problem as I managed to take plenty of photos of the girls once the ceremony was done with.
The church was stunning and both Lisa and Jason had pulled all the stops out for their wedding, having a gospel choir singing with the hymns and belting songs out as the register was signed and the happy couple made their way out of the church as man and wife.
Straight to Oulton Hall, plenty of scope for beautiful photography at this stunning venue.
The evening reception was held in the 'Claret Jug' section of the grounds, with the guests being entertained by an absolutely brilliant soul / jazz band, Mancini & the Hitmen.
Congrats guys!! See you after the honeymoon!
