30th April 2011 - Jenny & Matthew - St John the Baptist Church, Adel, through to The Devonshire Fell, Burnsall
Many people's memories relating to this weekends weddings will be William and Kate's Royal wedding. Not mine!
Jenny and Matthew had chosen this date probably about 2 years prior to the Royal's deciding to tie the knot on the 29th, so in my diary and in my mind there was only one wedding to look out for this weekend and that was Jenny and Matthew's!
I met with Jenny, her parents, brother and 3 bridesmaids at her parent's beautiful house in Keighley. Both Diane and Will, Jenny's parents, ensured I was made to feel at home from early morning, right through the day to the dancing! Thank you so much!
After some slight concerns with one of the bridesmaids and a nut allergy (!) I head out to Adel where I met with Matthew and the rest of the guests prior to Jenny's arrival.
Today's wedding was a 177 mile round trip for me! Probably the most I've travelled in one day for a wedding (not including the ones in the Lakes!)... Keighley - Adel - Adel - Burnsall! Oh yes, and after deciding to take a 'Colin McRae' type detour to avoid the potential Ilkley traffic, I got stuck behind a huge flock of sheep!! Thankfully the farmer and his amazingly talented sheepdog managed to control the huge flock, allowing me to get past and to my destination well ahead of the bride and groom!
The weather allowed plenty of outdoor photography, however the wind was a little wild once we got through to Burnsall, but that didn't bother Jenny one little bit! In fact she was unbelievably chilled and relaxed throughout the day, never once complaining or having a bad word to say about anything! Cracking!
Following the meal, more photos took place with the bridesmaids, ushers and best man!
What a day! I hope the photos do it justice!
Congratulations go out to Jenny and Matt!
