September 11th 2010 - Jane & Nick - Merewood Country House, Windermere, The Lake District

Jane and Nick are clients of mine who booked well in advance, and with the venue being so far from the usual haunts I frequent week on week, it's safe to say I've been looking forward to this one for some time!

Fingers crossed for the weather then!! Well, what can I say, although the ceremony was at 2pm, I got to Windermere for 9.30am in order to scope out potential places to take the bride and groom once the ceremony and formal groups were done with. Driving up to the Lakes and the rain got worse and worse all the way up... not good!

Once I met with Jane in the bridal suite, the rain stopped and after the ceremony had been conducted, the sun shone brightly all the way through to 9pm when the rain began once again!

Jane and Nick were great, happily allowing me to take the lead with my creativity. A short trip in my Mazda 5 to the waters edge and even more opportunities for great photos using Lake Windermere as our backdrop.

Thanks also go out to Lorna at the Merewood Hotel for making me feel so welcome!
