October 23rd 2010 - Emma & Gary - Oulton Hall, Leeds

If ever there was a bride who was sooo easy going, it was Emma! No stress, no mayhem, no dramas!! The whole day was taken completely in her stride, and I always say that if the wedding has been planned properly, there shouldn't be a reason to be stressed!

Seeing as Emma and Gary booked me in 2008, I can vouch for their forward planning!

Everything went brilliantly on the day, even if we did have the odd shower straight after the ceremony, just as I needed people outside for group shots!

Formalities were dealt with as quickly as I always promise they will, leaving Emma and Gary to enjoy their day with their friends and family, the way it should be.

I truely believe that a professional photographer shouldn't take you away from your friends and family for hours upon hours, they're there for you, so to take the bride and groom away from the people they love for a huge section of the day seems crazy to me. If I'm not done with the formal photos (thats groups and 'special' photos of the bride and groom) within an hour, I'm annoyed with myself.

When hiring a professional photographer, they should be there to capture the fun you're having with your guests, not take you away from the fun.

A brilliant 'crooner', Jamie Forth, entertained during the evening reception, sounded exactly like old 'blue eyes' himself. Jamie ensured the evening was enjoyable and was in full swing (pardon the pun!).

Some long exposure night shots of the venue finished the day off a treat (and if you were interested... no that's not a shooting star I've cheesily added into the photo of the Hall at night, the camera was on a 30 second exposure and caught the wing and tail lights of a passing passenger aeroplane as it returned to Leeds/Bradford airport! If you look closely you can see the intermittant 'blip' of the tail light every so often!.. sorry, geek alert!!)

Congratulations Emma and Gary... enjoy the HUGE honeymoon you have planned... looking forward to hearing about it all when you return!
