October 30th 2009 - Carrie & Andrew - Aston Hall Hotel, Sheffield
Another stunning day in terms of weather!
I cannot believe my luck and I'm sure that both Carrie and Andrew felt the same!
I met with Carrie, her parents and six bridesmaids at her parents house in Barnburgh. The journey to the church was a quick 2 minute drive away, which is always helpful as it gives me a larger window of time to do photos of both the bride and the groom's preperations.
The Church was beautiful and the vicar was lovely, although she didn't want me at the front, I managed to capture some lovely moments from the back of the church. As the happy couple signed the register, the congregation were entertained by the brilliant church choir, with one lady taking lead and singing Ave Maria beautifully.
After a confetti throw, we made our 30 minute journey to Aston Hall in Sheffield where a champagne reception awaited for the 117 guests. Thanks to the weather, we were able to do the group shots outdoors, but retreated inside for many of the bride and groom shots.
The Hall had a magnificent staircase, which we put to good use.
In the evening, there was plenty to photograph. The speeches, the DJ, the band, a brilliant characaturist (Richard Smith), Carrie's bouquet throw and the first dance ... which was awesome! Carrie and Andrew had choreographed a 70s 'Saturday Night Fever' dance routine, which looked great!
Well done guys, and as always, Congratulations!
